Katherine Handziak is the owner and interior designer of Loden Design, a Seattle-based studio specializing in hospitality and residential interiors. With a background in fine arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of Washington, Katherine brings an artist’s perspective to every project, balancing creativity with thoughtful problem-solving.
After nearly a decade designing hospitality spaces with Heavy Restaurant Group, she established Loden Design. Her work is guided by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, natural materials, and the way thoughtfully designed environments shape everyday experiences.
Raised in Seattle, Katherine draws continual inspiration from the Pacific Northwest and spends much of her free time gardening with her family, foraging for mushrooms, making art, and exploring the outdoors.
