MADE IN HOUSE

Made in House embraces a raw, industrial leaning aesthetic, where salvaged and custom elements define the space. The flexible kitchen features sliding steel panels and a refurbished fire door, while the original steel bar face honors the Fremont community’s history. Textured plaster and carefully chosen wood structures reflect the owners’ distinctive design sensibility and their family-run restaurant’s hyper-local PNW Korean identity.

GIVING FOUND FIXTURES NEW LIFE

The owner discovered this vintage fire door, and together we found the perfect place for it within the space. Its worn finish and deep red color brought an immediate sense of character — the kind of piece that makes a room feel collected rather than decorated.

the Design team “have been huge supporters from the very start, and they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to every project we've collaborated on. Working with Katherine …allowed for gaining insight into effective contractor negotiations and communication, and the level of professional, organizational and technical skills they bring are invaluable. Katherine is my go-to person for help on any design/ build projects.”
