NBHD WINE BAR & MARKET

Designed as a warm, inviting neighborhood hub in Magnolia, NBHD Wine + Market celebrates the building’s original character while introducing a refined, textural palette. Natural materials, soft neutrals, and handcrafted details like the glazed brick bar, walnut edged bar top, and custom steel shelving, bring warmth and personality. Abundant north facing light and a skylight create an airy, welcoming atmosphere, while the classic, subtly timeworn branding reflects the charm of the community it serves.

During construction, we uncovered beautiful original shiplap hidden beneath old drywall and immediately reworked the design to preserve it alongside the exposed rafters - blending warmth, history, and modern simplicity.

Our team and the owner fell in LOVE with this handmade glazed brick and its beautifully imperfect texture. We finished the bar top with a walnut edge that added another layer of texture.

“We are so happy with the work Loden Design did for us. They guided us with the care and expertise that we needed ... We feel they excelled in helping us make the important decisions that were right for us and our business. Great listeners and thoughtful planners. Not only were they efficient in the technical aspect but also used creativity and were able to think outside the box!”
