PABLO Y PABLO

Pablo y Pablo is a lively neighborhood Mexican restaurant and agave bar, blending steel, salvaged wood, terra cotta tile, industrial and cardboard lighting, and hand-dyed cyanotype art. The result is a sun-soaked, beachy atmosphere that feels both natural and unmistakably unique.

CYANOTYPE ART INSTALLATIONS

A rural landscape with green fields, a fence, small houses, and mountains in the distance under a blue sky with scattered clouds.
Part of a wooden chair with vertical spindles and carved decorative details, placed near a large fabric or paper surface with a grid pattern made of intersecting sticks.

We created a unique large-scale installation made from canvas, cyanotype, and an eclectic collection of chairs (thanks, Goodwill!). Visible from the street, the moody mural catches passersby's attention. The title, "and everything burns blue," is borrowed from a poem by Pablo Neruda, and the deep indigo colors are drawn from Pablo Picasso's 'blue period'.

We sourced this handmade terra cotta tile to create the perfect backdrop. With our rolodex of builders, makers, and contractors, there are endless solutions at our fingertips.
